Combining over 100 years of experience at the national level with extensive program evaluation, research and 30+ years in South Florida, Boys Town offers life-changing services to help approximately 600 families and heal more than 3,000 children every year.

In-Home Family Services

We help families create stronger, healthier, and happier relationships with their children. Empowers parents to address children's misbehavior in a positive way to set up the whole family for success. Offers 24/7 crisis support. A professional Family Consultant visit the family's home several times a week around the parents'/caregivers' schedule to provide guidance, share skills and offer resources to help families solve problems and promote a healthy family routine. Funded by Communities Connected for Kids, Children’s Services Council of Martin County, The Jim Moran Foundation, and Children’s Services Council of Broward County.

Kids getting family based care from Family Consultant

Care Coordination

Provides a lifeline for children suffering from mental health issues by connecting them with programs or resources that can provide the best care. Parents who want to help their children cope with traumas and behavior concerns at home and at school, receive intensive home-based care coordination from a Family Consultant, who partners with other professionals from school and sister agencies to advocate and provide support for the child. Funded by Southeast Florida Behavioral Health Network, Palm Beach County Community Services Department, Jim Moran Foundation in Broward County, and Broward County.​

Behavioral Health Clinic

Behavioral Health Clinic

The clinic offers a wide range of outpatient services for children from infancy to age 22. Individual and family therapy and psychological evaluations are available for children and young adults, who are experiencing social/emotional problems, including: anxiety, fears, ADHD, school difficulties, noncompliance and relationship concerns. Common Sense Parenting

Common Sense Parenting® courses help parents learn new skills, build on their parenting strengths and develop healthy relationships with their children. There are two different classes: 1) for young children and 2) for school-age children. Numerous families and children benefit each year from these classes, which are offered to parents locally.

Primary Project

This program helps students in 12 Palm Beach County elementary schools improve their adjustment to school and enhance their social and emotional well-being. More than 600 children participate in this program each year. Funded by Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County.

ParentChild+

Offers home visits for families with 2- and 3-year-olds, focusing on language and preliteracy skills, as well as positive parent-child interactions. Parents learn how to enhance their child's development by working with a trained Early Learning Specialist, who uses selected books, educational toys and activities. Funded by Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County. 

Lift with Boys Town

A community-based, multi-tiered, multi-component, prevention intervention system. Our goal is to intervene before problems reach a level where children are unsafe, not attending school, and the school community is not thriving.

Boys Town South Florida is excited to partner with two schools to implement Lift in our communities.

  • Mrs. Jacqueline Arnaez, Principal at Stirling Elementary in Hollywood, Broward County, funded by The A. D. Henderson Foundation and Jim Moran Foundation. ​

Community Support and Resources

The Boys Town National Hotline® (800-448-3000) is a free resource and counseling service that assists youth and parents 24/7, year-round, nationwide.

Parenting Support We've learned a lot about caring for children and families over the past 100 years. All that knowledge has been adapted and made available to all parents online.

Boys Town Press® produces books, audio products, DVDs, display materials and other resources to assist children, parents, caregivers, educators and other professionals.

YourLifeYourVoice.org is a special website that enables and encourages teens to share their problems and concerns in positive ways and provides access to immediate help in a crisis.
