Boys Town North Florida was proud to partner with Children’s Week Florida 2026, a beloved annual tradition held in Tallahassee during the legislative session. Each year, organizations and thousands of attendees from across the state gather in Florida’s capital city to share resources, advocate for children and provide education to families, youth and fellow child‑advocacy partners.
The week began with the Advocacy Dinner, a meaningful opportunity for Boys Town North Florida to raise awareness about the services we provide throughout the region. It also allowed our team to learn from other agencies, strengthening the network of support we can offer to the families we serve.
But the highlight of the week was undoubtedly Children’s Day at the Capitol.
On Tuesday morning, our team arrived bright and early to set up our booth in the beautiful courtyard of the Florida State Capitol. Our table was filled with flyers showcasing each of our programs, helping us spread the word about the work we do every day. With more than 2,000 children in attendance, we had the joy of meeting youth from across the state and engaging them in fun, hands‑on activities.
We handed out Boys Town crayons and pencils, along with interactive coloring sheets featuring skill‑building exercises. Watching children learn and connect with these tools was a highlight for our staff.
Partnering with Children’s Week Florida is always an honor. We are grateful to stand alongside so many dedicated organizations that share the belief that every child deserves the chance to thrive.
Together, we continue to advocate, educate and build brighter futures for Florida’s children.
