Matt Priest Honored with National Award


Boys Town Employee Honored with National Award

Boys Town, Neb.- Boys Town is pleased to announce that Matt Priest, Director of Boys Town Foster Family Services, is the recipient of the Family Focused Treatment Association’s 2023 Dr. Laura Boyd Champion for Children & Families National Advocate of the Year Award.

“Mr. Priest works tirelessly to better the lives and experiences of children in the child welfare system,” says Lisa Batenhorst, Executive Director of Boys Town Nebraska. “We are very thankful to have Matt leading our Foster Family Services team and for all that he does to make a difference.”

Matt has been an instrumental advocate for advancing social policies in the field of child welfare. His knowledge of the ins-and-outs of the child welfare system is invaluable and his advocacy for case professionals, resource and foster parents, foster children and families is commendable. He has given two decades of service to the well-being of children and families in the foster care system.
