Dr. Amanda Anderson is a licensed psychologist with training and experience in cognitive-behavioral therapy, parent-child interaction therapy, and behavioral pediatrics. She also has experience utilizing skills informed by dialectical behavior therapy. Dr. Anderson earned her bachelor's, master’s, and doctoral degrees from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida. Her clinical practica included work in community mental health clinics, schools, and a psychiatric hospital. Dr. Anderson completed her pre-doctoral internship at Boys Town Behavioral Health Clinic in Grand Island, Nebraska. Additionally, she completed a two-year, post-doctoral fellowship at Boys Town Center for Behavioral Health in Boys Town, Nebraska.
Dr. Anderson’s professional interests include anxiety and mood disorders, disruptive behavior disorders, and integrating aspects of faith and culture into clinical practice for interested families. She also provides community training and education on behavioral health issues, and collaborates with pediatricians, teachers, and other adult caregivers to ensure a continuity of service and care. Dr. Anderson is a native Floridian from Miami. For recreation, Dr. Anderson enjoys exploring antique shops, cruising, and trying out new restaurants.
