Employees from Pare Corporation’s Lincoln office, along with three of the corporation’s other New England offices, assembled 89 backpacks filled with school supplies for local children and teens served by Boys Town New England.
According to a news release, this marks the fifth consecutive year that Pare has partnered with Boys Town for the backpack drive.
“Starting a new school year should be an exciting time, but the cost of backpacks and supplies can create real stress for families,” said Marcy Shyllon, executive director of Boys Town New England. “Pare’s employees continue to show our children that their community is behind them. These backpacks provide the supplies students need, but they also help children walk into the classroom feeling prepared, confident, and supported.”
“We want to give foster families and children a head start by filling backpacks with school supplies to encourage a love of learning (and maybe even inspire a future engineer or scientist!),” said Sarah Pierce, senior GIS specialist at Pare Corporation in the release.
