Boys Town North Florida’s Master Chef Summer Program Inspires Youth with Culinary Creativity and Community Engagement

At Boys Town North Florida, our youth recently had the opportunity to showcase their culinary talents in the highly anticipated Master Chef Program. This event brought together a group of eager young chefs, ready to put their skills to the test under the guidance and critique of some of Tallahassee's most respected local celebrities.

The Master Chef panel of judges featured Jay Revell of Revell Media; Eric Pounders, Marketing Director of For The Table Hospitality; Emily Lee, Marketing and Events Director for Charlie Park; and Stacy Welch, the Head Chef of Charlie Park. Their presence not only added excitement to the competition, but also provided our youth with invaluable feedback from industry professionals.

Throughout the program, the kids worked tirelessly, honing their cooking techniques, experimenting with flavors and learning the importance of teamwork in the kitchen. The energy in the room was palpable as each young chef presented their dish to the panel, hoping to impress with their creativity and execution.

The judges were thoroughly impressed by the dedication and skill displayed by our youth. In the end, the Master Chef Program was more than just a competition; it was an opportunity for our youth to build confidence, develop life skills and connect with the community. Home A did end up winning the competition, while Homes B and C tied for second.

As they continue to grow and pursue their passions, we are incredibly proud of our youth and their achievements. We are grateful for the support of our local celebrity judges who helped make this event a memorable success!
