The Boys Town Memorial Day Run Moving to September

Boys Town, Neb. – Boys Town will move its popular run to late summer this year. The Boys Town Run will be on September 9, 2023, to coincide with Suicide Prevention Awareness month. The money raised from the event will be supporting Mental Health and the Boys Town National Hotline as we face the growing mental health crisis in our country.

Last year alone the Hotline answered over 117,000 calls and web contacts from distressed kids and parents nationwide. And 465 suicides in progress were stopped by our crisis counselors. The Hotline is a toll-free number, available 24/7 to kids and parents, and answers calls for the national 9-8-8 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

The Boys Town Run will still wind through the campus and has something for everyone. Participants can choose a 1-mile or 5-mile course, which they can run or walk Saturday, September 9th.
