BOYS TOWN, Iowa. – Boys Town is pleased to announce it was recently awarded a $31,500 grant from the Iowa West Foundation. Thanks to the generosity of Iowa West Foundation, Boys Town can continue to provide important service that strengthen children and families in Iowa.

Boys Town Iowa Providing Crisis Intervention & Family Strengthening Services received $31,500. Boys Town Iowa is continuing to take steps to meet the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic on behalf of the children and families that we serve. This funding will support Boys Town Iowa’s In-Home Family Services and Common Sense Parenting classes in Pottawattamie County in addition to offering the On the Way Home Program to reach more youth. These services strengthen families, address the underlying causes of crisis, and improve the social-emotional and academic development of vulnerable children.

“Receiving this grant allows us to continue to help Iowa families before they become involved with the Department of Human Services or the Juvenile Court Service,” said Patrick Garcia, Executive Director, Boys Town Iowa. “It allows parents to be the change agent in their own lives as well as their children’s.”
