Meet Dougl! He is one of our “On the Way Home” consultants.
Doug works in the Des Moines area for District 5 youth and families, supporting youth returning from placement. He has been with our Boys Town Iowa team since July 2023.
Doug works hard to support youth and families and enjoys nothing more than to see a youth successfully complete probation. Doug advocates for his families and has a true desire to help facilitate change. His strengths are his heart of compassion, his friendly and welcoming demeanor, and his ability to build strong relationships with his youth and families.
Doug responded to the questions about what he enjoys most about his job by saying, “What I enjoy most about the work is hearing each family’s story and having the opportunity to work with families to overcome challenges. I enjoy that it also makes me think outside the box because each family presents unique obstacles.”

- “I just got a puppy named Snowy that keeps me on my toes and active.”
