What’s dinnertime like? How do they manage all that laundry? And how do you pile them all in the car?
Six to eight boys or girls, ages 10 to 18, live in a family-style home and receive structured guidance and care from professionally trained, live-in married couples called Family-Teachers, who are the primary caregivers.
We’re giving you a chance to get an inside look at the life of a Boys Town family with our Follow a Family series.
Each episode follows a Boys Town Family-Teaching Couple, their biological children, an Assistant Family-Teacher, and up to eight Boys Town youth as they engage in family meetings, go on summer vacation, and do the things any normal family would do… only on a much larger scale. These are real-life situations inspired by the Boys Town model demonstrating the firm belief in the potential for every child and family to succeed.
