My family teachers, I think, I don't know. Kim and Scott were really there for me, and I wouldn't be where I am today, I think, or have the relationship with my own parents if it wasn't for Kim and Scott. They just were so subtle in the way that they wanted to see a change in you, and just really showed me, and I think all the other girls, what a family is. I thank them every day. They changed my experience at Boys Town. I came here to Boys Town, I think I'd have been here a month and a half, and I started fighting the police, and destroyed a bunch of property, but I had been doing really well here, so my old consultant fought for me to stay on campus, because I guess he saw this light in me or something, and said that I could do great in the world if I have this opportunity. The fact that he still saw the light in me, after I did what horrible thing I did, it's just, I don't know, it was amazing.
It was like, okay, all right, so he's helping me out here, so I can't let him down. Now I'm motivated. I want to do something with my life. This life has allowed us to enjoy and make impact on others together, and involving our own kids, which is also very neat. Emery, now that she's five and she's kindergarten, she's going to remember this forever, I think, and she's going to see, she hopefully saw her parents trying to live for other people instead of themselves, and hopefully that will translate to our own kids too. My parents will probably never admit this, but I think my parents are changing the world every day, making it a better place by investing in these kids that they've chosen to devote their life to raising, and so they've been really good role models for me, role models for me of being world changers and making a difference.
